Previously, tooth loss solutions relied on outdated and invasive procedures, which then left patients with uncomfortable results. We can provide treatments for both single and full dental implants in a way which ensures optimal results but doesn’t put your oral health at risk.

By using this technology, we can give you an in-depth look into your oral health and show you what your smile will look like following the completion of your treatment for dental implants in Leeds. There is no guesswork with Space Dental, our dentists are amongst the very best at what they do and they put every effort into ensuring that, once your treatment is complete, you’re left with the smile of your dreams.

The Difference Between Single & Full Dental Implants

No matter how many teeth you are missing, we understand just how much of an impact this can have on your day-to-day life. Each patient is different and this is just one of the reasons why we offer both treatment for single and full dental implants in Leeds. Not only do they look amazing, but they function just like your natural teeth meaning that you can chew, smile and talk without worries!

Single dental implants are recommended for patients who have just one missing tooth, or perhaps have a couple missing around their mouth. Full dental implants are recommended for patients who have multiple missing teeth along one or both jaws.

Your Dental Implant Consultation

We get that considering dental implant treatment is a big decision. This is why, if you’re thinking about visiting us for dental implants in Leeds, we’ll first invite you to visit us for a consultation. During this consultation, you’ll get to see the luxury clinic where your treatment will take place and meet your implant dentist.

This consultation allows both you and your dentist to ask questions about your desired results and learn more about what it is you want to achieve. We’ll also conduct an oral health examination to check that you are suitable for treatment, as it may be that we need to undertake some restorative work before getting started on your implant treatment.

Following this, your dentist will make recommendations on the best course of treatment for you and put together a proposed treatment plan, with every step detailed from start to finish. There will also be information about our payment options and treatment costs, as we offer flexible payment options and different implant treatment packages. We believe that every patient should have access to the treatment they want, without price being a considered factor.

You can take your treatment plan away with you if you wish to read more, or if you’re happy with the suggestions your dentist provides, we can book you in for your treatment!

Dental implants are designed to be permanent and long-lasting. With proper care and regular checkups, dental implants can last between 20-30 years, with the crown lasting between 10-15 years before needing a replacement. With our treatments for dental implants in Leeds, we use a titanium metal “root” which is fixed to the jawbone and then a dental crown is fitted to this, giving you a replacement tooth.

Your replacement tooth should be looked after just as well as you’d look after your natural teeth as some of the factors which can influence your natural tooth health can also reduce the length of time in which your dental implants last, too. These can include things such as lifestyle choices, injury or damage and oral health.

Typically speaking, so long as you look after your dental implants, they should last you for a very long time!
We get this question a lot when patients come to us interested in dental implants in Leeds. As the treatment for dental implants does involve a surgical procedure (where we fit the metal screw into your jaw) we understand that some patients may have concerns over whether this is painful. You shouldn’t feel any pain during the surgery itself, as your whole mouth will be numbed prior to it starting, and the procedure should last for around an hour. During this, you might feel some of the sensations as we get to work fitting your new teeth, but you shouldn’t feel any pain or discomfort.

Once the procedure is finished and the anaesthetic starts to wear off, you may feel some discomfort and aches, but most patients are able to treat this with painkillers. This should last for a day or two and shouldn’t be anything more than a little uncomfortable - if you feel anything else, then get in touch with us and arrange to visit your dentist.
If, during your consultation, we find that your treatment for dental implants in Leeds requires a tooth being removed, then you will need to wait for this treatment to be done and the site to heal before we start with the implant procedure. Typically, this will be around 10 weeks. However, this is dependent on a case-by-case procedure and this will be discussed during your initial consultation.
If you are missing one or multiple teeth, then the likelihood is that you will be eligible for treatment for dental implants in Leeds. However, there are patients who require additional treatments before they are eligible to undergo the treatment and procedures required for dental implants.

Most commonly, some patients may not have the required bone density to undergo treatment straight away. This is because, when you lose a tooth, the bone which surrounds the tooth can begin to deteriorate and for dental implant treatment to be successful, there needs to be enough bone to support the implant. Depending on how long your tooth has been missing, it could be that you no longer have enough bone to support the implant, so in some circumstances, you may require a bone graft. There are also some medical conditions which mean you aren’t eligible for a single or full dental implant.
