Invisalign®

Invisalign® is an orthodontic treatment that uses the most advanced clear aligner system in the world to carefully straighten your teeth. Invisalign trays are a breath of fresh air from traditional straightening methods such as braces, as they are fully removable, clear, and almost invisible.

The plastic trays are custom-made and moulded to your mouth without the need for uncomfortable moulding processes, using advanced 3D technology instead.

Orthodontic Dental Treatment
(Fixed Braces)

Orthodontics involves the use of braces to correct the position of the teeth. Your exact treatment will depend on the problem with your teeth which can be determined during your consultation.

If your teeth are very close together, causing them to twist or overlap, you may also need to have some teeth removed as part of your treatment.

The length of treatment will depend on how complicated the problem is, but it's usually between 18 and 24 months.

At Space Dental we can provide clear or metal fixed braces

Composite Veneers

Composite Veneers are thin casings made from a composite resin that is adhered to the tooth’s natural enamel. These cover the area of the tooth completely and are used in cases where multiple if not all teeth require treatment to correct imperfections. They can be used to create a straighter smile, alter the appearance of the teeth, or to restore teeth to a white tone, in cases where one or more teeth are discoloured.

Composite Veneers are virtually non-invasive as they do not require any of the drilling or filing involved with other kinds of veneers.

Is teeth straightening safe?

If only orthodontic braces or Invisalign are used for teeth straightening then all your natural to structure is retained, this is the most minimal approach to teeth straightening and, when carried out by a fully qualified and trained professional, is extremely safe. Composite veneers equally often maintain a large amount of natural to structure, requiring minimal tooth reduction, again, this makes them very safe. There are of course always risks with any treatment and these will always be explained to you prior to going ahead. Our goal is always to provide the best result with the minimum amount of tooth reduction and treatment.

Do retainers straighten teeth?

No. Retainers maintain your smile after you have had active orthodontic treatment. Active orthodontic treatment includes treatments such as orthodontic braces or Invisalign. Retainers are passive and don't apply any pressure to move your teeth, they simply hold your teeth in their final position ensuring your beautiful new smile remains.
