Clear Aligners

Straights® uses a series of custom-made clear plastic trays that gradually move your teeth into ideal positions. After digital scanning and personalised treatment planning, you'll receive multiple sets of aligners. Each set applies gentle pressure to specific teeth, worn for 1-2 weeks before progressing to the next. Wearing them 20-22 hours daily ensures teeth move according to your customised plan.

Straights® aligners are generally more comfortable than traditional braces. You may feel mild pressure when starting each new aligner set, indicating your teeth are moving. This sensation typically subsides within 2-3 days. Unlike metal braces, there are no wires to poke or brackets to irritate your mouth, making the overall experience much more comfortable.

Most Straights® treatments complete within 12-18 months, though some see results in as little as 6 months. Treatment duration depends on your case complexity – minor corrections may take 3-6 months, while more complex movements require longer. Your personalised treatment plan will include an accurate timeline based on your specific needs.

The main requirement is discipline – aligners must be worn 20-22 hours daily for effective results. They're removable, which requires commitment to wear them consistently. Straights® may not suit severe orthodontic cases requiring significant jaw movement. During consultation, we'll assess whether clear aligners can achieve your desired results or if alternative treatments would be better.

Typically, you'll switch to a new set of aligners every 1-2 weeks, depending on your treatment plan. Regular changes ensure continuous, gentle tooth movement. Not wearing aligners for the recommended hours can delay progress and extend time between changes. We'll monitor your progress at regular check-ups to ensure treatment stays on track.
