Frequently asked questions

Straights is our modern teeth straightening system that uses clear, removable aligners to transform your smile. These aligners are custom-made for your teeth using 3D imaging technology. They work by gradually shifting your teeth into their desired position over time. You'll receive a series of aligners, each worn from one to two weeks, that progressively move your teeth.

Treatment duration varies depending on your individual needs. On average, it takes 6 to 12 months to complete. However, you may start seeing noticeable improvements in just a few weeks. We'll provide a personalised treatment plan and timeline during your consultation.

Straights is generally more comfortable than traditional braces. You may feel some pressure when starting a new aligner, which shows they're working to move your teeth. This mild discomfort usually subsides within a few days as your teeth adjust.

Remove your aligners when eating or drinking anything except water. This prevents staining and damage. After eating, brush your teeth before replacing the aligners to maintain good oral hygiene and avoid trapping food particles.

For best results, wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours daily. Only remove them for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. Consistent wear ensures your treatment progresses as planned and helps achieve your desired results efficiently.
