What are Composite Veneers?
Composite Veneers involve a similar process to Composite Bonding but are used to correct more sizeable imperfections.
The materials used are the same however, Veneers are used in cases where the surface of the tooth is covered completely. Whereas Composite Bonding only covers the tooth in part, typically local to the imperfection.
A less invasive and often reversible alternative to Porcelain Veneers, Composite Veneers come with a host of advantages to consider.
How do they Work?
The dentist will prep your teeth for the application of the Composite Veneers, which may include etching the enamel in order to support adhesion. After which an adhesive will be applied to the front of your tooth before the Composite Resin is applied to achieve the desired shape, corrections, etc. These veneers are cured with a light to harden them and ensure duration from your veneers.
